About Your Host
The Jersey City Travel Club is hosted by Heather Waibel. Heather has lived in Jersey City since 2015 and is an avid traveler- she’s been to over 50 countries, and to all 7 continents.
Why did Heather decide to host this club?
“I believe that group travel is an amazing way to make friends. It’s a trial by fire- in a good way! You will learn a ton about yourself, and you will make deep and fast bonds. Nothing bonds people like traveling together.”

Experience a 5 day/ 4 night trip to Mallorca, Spain with Jersey City Travel Club. Immerse yourself in luxurious accommodations at a 5-star hotel right on the beach and relax in one of Europe's most beautiful islands. Make new friends, commiserate, collaborate, and grow your tribe.
We'll be wine tasting, cruising on a private catamaran, visiting beautiful villages, and even experience a candle light concert in a cave.
Whether you're looking to make new friends or just get a nice tan, you'll have a great time in recharging and relaxing in paradise.
Roommate = you and a roommate will share a Superior sea-view room with a large private terrace (link to room), you'll each have your own single bed or if you prefer, a you can share a king bed. Each person needs to book a ticket (1 ticket= 1 person). If you don't have a roommate, you can still book and we will assign you a roommate.
No roommate = you'll have a private room with a king bed, a sea view, and a private balcony (link to room).

No! We’re open to any and everyone. We believe you can not only learn a lot from travel, but also from the people you travel with. Occasionally, we may host trips aimed at a sub-section of our membership.

Typically less than $4,000 per person. Some will cost a lot less (long weekends, cruises, etc…). We also offer the option to have a roommate, which reduces costs further.

We do not host trips that are less than 4-star (aka “premium”). Some trips will be luxury. We are not a camping or budget travel group.

Membership has its benefits! Joining gets you free membership to the AMELIA luxury travel forum ($90/year value), and AMELIA Magazine ($50/year value). As a member, you will also get exclusive discounts off of trips as well as exclusive pre-booking periods (our trips can sell out!). Finally, we host local meetup events for members throughout the year, such as local dinners, US Open meet-ups, etc…

AMELIA is founded by experienced entrepreneurs based in the US and backed by investors such as Brian Kelly (aka founder of The Points Guy). We have been booking travel for celebs and influencers since 2022.

No. If a flight is needed, we elect to allow you to book your own flights. People have specific airlines/airports/miles/loyalty clubs etc… that they prefer to use, so we leave that to you. Our packages include accommodations, activities and some meals. All inclusions/exclusions will be clearly indicated on the trip page.

You can, but our pricing includes accommodations already, so that would be silly!

No. whether you lived in Jersey City once-upon-a-time, or you’re located in Hoboken or New York City… or someplace else, you may join our group. We do not police the membership by geography, however, we encourage “locals” to join in the interest of making friends!
